
Royals Host Americans Tomorrow & Wednesday

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals return home when the Tri-City Americans make their only visit of the season to Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre tomorrow and Wednesday night. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
YEAR IN REVIEW: The Royals will be playing their first game of 2016 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre tomorrow night. During the 2015 calendar year, the Royals played in 36 regular season home games and registered a 21-12-1-2 record and two shutouts. Victoria earned a 35/165=21.2% rate on the powerplay, and held a 121/146=82.9% success rate while on the penalty kill.
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION: The last time the Royals and Americans played was on November 21st, 2015 when the two teams combined for eight goals in the first period, which matched a franchise high for Victoria. The Royals tallied five goals in the opening 20 minutes in the contest, which also tied a franchise high for the club. The last time the Victoria/Chilliwack franchise was involved in an eight goal period was on September 24th, 2010 in Vancouver against the Giants, when the team scored three goals in the second period. The Royals/Bruins franchise have registered five goals in a single period on six separate occasions.
TUESDAY
The Royals second half program will be available at the Royals' Team Store featuring updated articles and features, including "Behind the Mask" interview with Victoria netminder Coleman Vollrath.

The Bottle Depot will be outside Gate 1 before the game collecting recyclable beverage containers, with proceeds supporting C-FAX Santa's Anonymous.
