Cranbrook, BC -- Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club today announced the Club has acquired a fifth round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for Defenseman Bryan Allbee.

"With the addition of Ryan Pouliot from Red Deer, we needed to pare down our numbers on the blueline as we had nine Defensemen on our roster. This transaction allows us to continue to acquire multiple selections in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. We thank Bryan Allbee for his contributions to the Club and wish him the best in Seattle," added Chynoweth.

The ICE are now carrying 24 players (two Goaltenders, eight Defensemen and 14 Forwards).
