Royals Get Four From AHL

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Rob Kwiet has been re-assigned from the Providence Bruins to the Royals. In separate transactions, defenseman Todd Perry and forwards Alex Berry and Greg Scott have been re-assigned to Reading from the Marlies.

Kwiet, a first year pro from Toronto, Ontario, played seventeen regular season games with the Royals and picked up seven assists and thirteen penalty minutes. In forty-one games with the P-Bruins, Kwiet scored one goal and registered twenty-four penalty minutes. Todd Perry, a third year pro from Ingleside, Ontario, played five regular season games with the Royals and registered one assist. In twenty-seven games with the Marlies, he scored one goal, assisted on two others (three points) and picked up thirty-five penalty minutes. Berry, a first year pro from Danvers, Massachusetts, played five regular season games with Reading and picked up five assists and two penalty minutes. In fifty-five games with the Marlies, Berry scored three goals, assisted on four others (seven points) and picked up ninety-seven penalty minutes. Scott, a first year pro from Victoria, British Columbia, played five regular season games and scored one goal, assisted on one other (two points) and registered six penalty minutes. In sixty-eight games with the Marlies, Scott scored ten goals, assisted on twenty others (thirty points) and picked up twenty-six assists.

The Royals visit Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan for Game One of the ECHL American Conference Quarter-Final series against the Kalamazoo Wings tonight (Tuesday, April 6, 2010 @ 7:00 pm). The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will kick off at 6:30 pm.
