IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals will open their 2010 American Conference Quartefinal series against the Florida Everblades at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla. at 7:30 p.m.
The Jackals (37-26-6-3) finished atop the American East Division while the Everblades (38-25-4-5) ended the regular season in third place in the American South Division.
Elmira was 2-0-0-0 against Florida during the regular season, with both games occurring at First Arena. The Jackals have never been to Florida's Germain Arena.
This is the third-straight year the Jackals have participated in the postseason. Last season, the Jackals won their first round series against Trenton before falling in the second round to Cincinnati. The Everblades have never missed the postseason since joining the ECHL in 1998-1999.

ALMOST A YEAR OLDER
The Jackals playoff roster has an average age of 24.04 years, while the Everblades check in at an average of 24.87 years. The Everblades have the oldest and youngest players in the series, with Mike Bayrack, who will turn 32 years old in September, as the most senior player on the ice and goaltender Adrian Lemay as the youngest, as he will turn 21 in October.
