
Rox Continue Win Streak with 2-1 Victory Against Minot

ST. CLOUD, MN - The St. Cloud Rox (43-23) earned a sweep against the Minot Hot Tots (16-49) with a 2-1 final score, Thursday, August 10th. The Rox finish the season series with a 6-2 record against Minot. St. Cloud has won six straight games and are still fighting for a 2nd Half championship.
The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Garrett McLaughlin. Mclaughlin worked 1.0 inning in his 3rdstart, striking out three batters. Over 15 total appearances, McLaughlin has worked 29.0 innings with 24 strikeouts.
Ben Vujovich reached base three times, scoring the go-ahead run on a bases loaded walk in the 6thinning. Noah Greise drove in the tying run in the 6thinning, also hitting a double in the victory. Greise has four hits, including two for extra bases, and three RBI over his last two games. Oscar Serratos had a hit, a run scored, and two stolen bases. Serratos has 16 runs scored and 11 stolen bases over 14 games played this season.
The Rox bullpen had a stellar evening. Chris Brown gave up the lone run over 3.0 innings, striking out six batters and giving up just one hit. Brown has 23 strikeouts and a 1.48 WHIP over 21.0 innings pitched this season. Owen Marsh returned to the mound for the first time since July 18thand promptly shut down the Hot Tots, holding Minot scoreless over 2.0 innings with three strikeouts. Marsh has a 2-1 record and a 3.16 ERA in 25.2 innings over 12 appearances. Brooks Ey made his 3rdappearance for St. Cloud, working a scoreless 6thinning with two strikeouts. Jake Burcham pitched the final 2.0 innings, facing the minimum and striking out a batter. Burcham has given up just one run over his last 10.1 innings pitched, with a 3.38 ERA over 26.2 innings pitched this season.
