Kelowna Rockets News Release
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Red Deer Rebels 5-4 on Wednesday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
Jackson Whistle earned the win in net and rookie Gordie Ballhorn scored his first WHL goal in a winning cause as the Rockets improved to 6-3-0-0 on the season.
Dillon Dube had two goals and an assist to lead the Rockets attack while Tyson Baillie scored his seventh of the season and added an assist. Cal Foote added his second of the season.
The Rockets were 2-for-4 on the power play and held Red Deer to 1-for-4 on the night. The Rebels outshot Kelowna 34-27.
The Rockets will leave Thursday morning for Prince George and a two game weekend against the Cougars before returning home to host the Cougars on Friday Oct. 23.
