Warriors Acquire McNulty

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that the team has acquired 20-year-old defenceman Marc McNulty from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for 19-year-old defenceman Dallas Valentine.

McNulty, 6'6 210lbs, is from Medicine Hat and entering his final season in the WHL. McNulty was originally drafted by the Prince George Cougars in the 10th round of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. In 2011-2012 he appeared in 21 games as a 16-year-old, the following year he had eight goals and 15 points in 52 games. As an 18-year-old in 2013-2014, McNulty scored 17 goals, totalled 42 points, and had 115 penalty minutes.

In 30 games last season with Prince George McNulty had five goals and 15 points, he was traded to Kamloops where he had 12 points in 30 games. In total he's played 204 regular season games and has 34 goals, 51 assists, 85 points, and 316 penalty minutes. McNulty was a 6th round pick of the Detroit Red Wings at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.McNulty will join the Warriors on their current Central Division road trip, and could make his debut as early as Thursday when they take on the Calgary Hitmen.
