Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have acquired 19-year-old defenseman Dallas Valentine from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for 20-year-old defenseman Marc McNulty.

Valentine, who stands at 6'4" and 210lbs, has played 157 career games with the Warriors. He has six goals and 36 points in his WHL career.

This season, the Lousana, Alberta native, has a goal and an assist in six games.

"We are happy to add Dallas to our line-up," commented General Manager, Stu MacGregor. "We felt it was important to add a 19-year-old player on defence. He is a big and mobile defenseman that will play important minutes for our hockey club."

Valentine will join the team this weekend as the Blazers are in Seattle and Spokane on Friday and Saturday night.

With the transaction, the Blazers now have three 20-year-olds in Matt Needham, Ryan Rehill and Gage Quinney on their roster.

The Blazers roster sits at 25 players including two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 15 forwards.
