Prince George Cougars News Release
Prince George, B.C. - For a second consecutive season, the Prince George Cougars are giving away a Brand New (2015) Nissan Micra! We love our fans and this is our way of saying "Thank You" for attending our games.
Sometime during the 2015-16 season, we will be hosting a 'Mystery Night' where all fans aged 19-and-over will receive one complimentary ballot to win the vehicle. There are no strings attached. During the second intermission that night, the winning name will be announced and the winner drives home in their brand new car (valued at over $12,000).
"Yes you heard correctly. If you attend a Prince George Cougars hockey game this season you have a chance to win a brand new car. It's literally that simple." said Prince George Vice President, Business Andy Beesley. "It might be in February, or it might be this weekend against the Kelowna Rockets. The only way you'll know for sure is by attending as many of our exciting games as possible."

After a thrilling 4-1 victory last Saturday night at home against the Tri-City Americans, the Prince George Cougars continue their six-game home stand this weekend when they welcome the defending WHL league champions, the Kelowna Rockets to town for a Friday-Saturday double header. Friday's game is presented by Global Roadway Maintenance. The evening will include: A 'Shoot To Win' intermission contest and our FANBONI and Remax Racer will once again be out in full force. The first group of 10 to purchase tickets to Friday's game through the Prince George Cougars office (250-561-0783) will win a ride on the FANBONI during the first intermission.
Saturday night's game marks the second Feature Game of our 2015-16 season. It's 'Pink in the Rink' night and it is presented by the Northland Auto Group. That night the Prince George Cougars will be wearing special Pink jerseys to help raise awareness for breast cancer. After the game all of the jerseys will be auctioned off online and all proceeds from the 2015 Prince George Cougars pink jersey auction will go towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. We will also be holding Pink 'Chuck A Puck' where one lucky fan could win two tickets to a Canucks game at Rogers Arena in the Finning Suite.
On the ice the Prince George Cougars have a lot to be excited about. New York Rangers prospect Brad Morrison is coming off a game where he tallied two goals, an assist and a fight to complete the Gordie Howe Hat Trick. Goaltender Ty Edmonds is coming off a 20 save victory and his goals-against-average through three games is 2.00 and his save percentage is .935. It won't be easy by any means for the Cougars but rest assured, Head Coach Mark Holick and the team will be ready for their litmus test against the defending champs. "There's always a little bit extra on the line when the defending champs come to town but we are ready to accept and embrace the challenge that they present," said Mark Holick. "We've had a great week of practice to this point and we know that if we play to our strengths and come out with a strong effort, that we're going to give ourselves every opportunity to be successful."
