MOVING DAY: The Rochester Red Wings dropped their third-straight game, 4-2, against Omaha Friday night, after a ninth-inning rally spurred by a leadoff triple from C DREW MILLAS fell short...RHP JOAN ADON pitched in his 100th Minor League game, working six innings, allowing four earned while striking out four...CF ALEX CALL collected a single and a walk to reach base safely for the fourth-straight game with the Wings, while 3B ERICK MEJIA hit his second double of the year (his hardest-hit ball this season)...C DREW MILLAS collected his second triple of the season and drew a walk for an International League-leading seventh consecutive game...LHP ANTHONY BANDA starts tonight for the Wings as they try to snap their three-game skid.

MEJIA MAGIC: 3B ERICK MEJIA roped his second double of the year in last night's contest, his last coming on 6/10-G2 at WOR...the two-bagger was Mejias' hardest-hit ball of the 2023 campaign, coming off the bat at 106.6 MPH...

The Dominican Republic native went 1-for-4 with a double in the contest, snapping an 0-for-9 streak coming into his fifth-inning at bat.

WE GOT ICE: LF TRAVIS BLANKENHORN was hit by a pitch in the loss, marking his team-leading eighth HBP...the lefty has now reached safely in 35 of his last 38 games dating back to 5/2 in SWB, and carries an on-base percentage of .352 over that span.

JUST DREW IT: C DREW MILLAS went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, and a run scored last night...the triple was his second of the season, which leads active Red Wings batters and ties him with Darren Baker and Derek Hill for the overall team lead...the Wings have logged 10 triples this season, five of them coming in June...

Millas has now drawn a walk in seven consecutive games dating back to 6/13, which is tied for the longest active streak in the International League...seven-straight games with a free pass is the longest streak by a Red Wing since John Andreoli walked in 11-straight in 2019 (4/28-5/12).

KEEPING IT 100: RHP JOAN ADON made his 100th Minor League appearance (66th start) Saturday night...the right-hander allowed four earned on six hits while striking out four over 6.0 innings of work...he's now gone at least five full innings in five consecutive starts dating back to 5/25 in TOL...through his 66 Minor League starts, Adon has worked five or more innings in 46 of them (69%)...

The Dominican Republic native posts a career MiLB record of 27-18, with an ERA of 4.43 (188 ER/381.2 IP), collecting 390 strikeouts and 171 walks.

HAMMERED: The Red Wings posted the top two exit velocities among both teams last night after LF TRAVIS BLANKENHORN lined out at 107.8 MPH and 3B ERICK MEJIA's double came off the bat at 106.6 MPH...Wings batters have recorded the hardest-hit ball in 12 of the last 15 contests...

Blankenhorn's lineout was his hardest-hit ball of the season that did not result in a hit.

NO FREE RIDES: Rochester pitchers only allowed two walks in last night's loss, the fewest free passes allowed since 6/16 against SWB...Wings pitchers have allowed two walks or fewer in 16 games this season, seven games that came in June...no Omaha batter has recorded more than one walk against Rochester since Tuesday...

Rochester has allowed 337 walks this season, 13th in the International League.

The Wings are 5-11 in games they've issued two or fewer walks.

SALUTE TO THE NEGRO LEAGUES: The Rochester Red Wings will don the historic Rochester American Giants threads for their 6/24 matchup against Omaha in a salute to the Negro Leagues...the Rochester American Giants, a minor league affiliate to the Negro Leagues, called Rochester home in the 1940s...Ike Walker, a Rochester resident who was a catcher on the 1963 Satchel Paige All-Star Team, and Walt Williams, a Rochester native who played for the American Giants as a 15-year-old, will be in attendance tonight...

RICHIE MARTIN's grandfather, Walter Thomas, played in the Negro Leagues for 13 years appearing with the Detroit Stars, Kansas City Monarchs, Chicago Amercian Giants, and the Birminham Black Barons.
