
Road Warriors Acquire Ben Woodley

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced an ECHL Trade Deadline Day acquisition. The Road Warriors have acquired defenseman Ben Woodley from the Toledo Walleye for future considerations.
Woodley, 21, is in his first professional year after spending the past two years in the British Columbia Hockey League with the Prince George Spruce Kings. In eight games with the Walleye this season, Woodley has compiled 16 penalty minutes and a -2 rating. Last season with the Spruce Kings, the London Ontario native led defenseman in points with five goals and 42 assists. The right handed rookie measures in at 6'6'' and 230 lbs. "Ben is a strong defenseman that will help enormously in the corners and in front of the net," said Head Coach Dean Stork. "He will be a great asset to our team heading into the stretch run."
