Orlando Solar Bears News Release

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have traded F Ryan Ginand to the Gwinnett Gladiators in exchange for three players from Gwinnett's roster to be named following the conclusion of the season. In addition, the Solar Bears sent backup goaltender James Reid to Evansville. The moves occurred prior to today's ECHL 3pm EST trade deadline.

"By receiving three players back from one of the top teams in the South Division we expect to improve our roster," said Orlando Solar Bears Coach Drake Berehowsky.

Ginand has played 28 games for the Solar Bears, registering 22 points on seven goals and 15 assists. The Milford, MA native has earned multiple recalls to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) this year, and in seven games he has recorded eight penalty minutes with the Aeros.

Reid appeared in one game with Orlando.
