Rivermen Announce Roster Changes

The Peoria Rivermen announced that the team has signed goaltender Brian Hamilton, defenseman Casey Handrahan, and forwards Leo Thomas and Jon Booras to PTO agreements prior to Tuesday's game against the Manitoba Moose.

Handrahan, Booras, and Thomas have all been signed out of the Bloomington PrairieThunder of the International Hockey League.

Handrahan has played in 44 games for Bloomington with 11 assists. The 6-2, 195-pound defenseman spent three seasons with Niagara University before turning pro with the Macon Traxx of the Southern Professional Hockey League in 2005-06.

Thomas, 26, has scored eight goals and 25 points with the PrairieThunder this year, and has also totaled 64 minutes in penalties in 39 games. He recorded a career-high 34 goals and 71 points with the Flint Generals of the United Hockey League in 2005-06.

The 25-year-old Booras played four years at Lake Superior State University before turning pro at the end of his senior season in 2006. The 5-11, 180-pound Billings, Montana native has played one game this season on recall with the Iowa Stars, recording no points or PIMs.

Hamilton, 36, is a former Rivermen goaltender from the team's ECHL tenure, appearing in four games over parts of three seasons with the club.

The Rivermen will take on the Manitoba Moose at 7 pm at Carver Arena, with WWE Diva Maria on hand to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans!
