Adirondack Phantoms News Release
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms announced today that two of the team's upcoming February home games will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet. The region's sports leader will be bringing the Tuesday, Feb. 12 game vs. Syracuse and the Friday, Feb. 29 game vs. Binghamton into homes throughout the Delaware Valley. Both games hit the airwaves at 7 PM.
Two members of the Flyers broadcast crew will be handling play-by-play for the games. On Feb. 12, Flyers television voice Jim Jackson will call the action, while Flyers radio announcer Tim Saunders will handle the call on Feb. 29. Former Flyers winger Orest Kindrachuk will handle his customary role of color analyst for both games.
The Phantoms are currently enjoying one of the best seasons in franchise history. Heading into this week, the team holds a nine-point lead in the American Hockey League's East Division. Their record of 31-15-1-2 ties them with the 1996-97 and 1997-98 squads for the most wins in a season at the 49-game mark. The 1996-97 squad had the best regular season record in team history and made the divisional finals that year, while the 1997-98 team won the Calder Cup. The club's current pace is also five points and four wins ahead of that of the 2004-05 team, which secured the franchise's second Calder Cup title.
