Stewart Heads To Florida; Kaleta To Buffalo

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers have recalled right wing Anthony Stewart. In addition, the Buffalo Sabres have recalled right Patrick Kaleta from the Amerks.

Stewart, 23, will be making his eighth appearance and second within a week with Florida this season. He has appeared in 24 games for the Panthers with one point. In 26 games with Rochester, the LaSalle, Quebec, native has eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points.

Stewart will join the team this afternoon in Toronto and is eligible to play this evening when the Panthers take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:30 p.m. at Air Canada Centre. The game can be seen live on FSN-Florida or heard on the radio at 790AM The Ticket.

Kaleta returns to his hometown also for the second time in a week and the third time this season. The 21-year-old Buffalo native has four penalty minutes (PIM) in 11 games with the Sabres and four points (1+3) and 104 PIM in 28 games with the Amerks. Kaleta and the rest of the Sabres will be in action tonight as they visit the TD Banknorth Garden for a 7:00 p.m. contest.

Rochester begins its four-game homefront with a battle against the North Division rival Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday, February 6th in the sixth of 12 meetings this season. The 7:05 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 networks. The game will also be televised live on Time Warner SportsNet Channel 26.

The contest between the I-90 interstate neighbors falls on clevermethod Business Persons Special Night. Fans can turn in their business cards at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office and receive a $21.00 ticket for just $10.00.
