Syracuse, NY (February 5, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Duvie Westcott.

Westcott, 30, has appeared in 8 games for the Crunch this season, racking up 5 assists and 10 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 23 games with Columbus this season, collecting 1 goal, 3 assists and 30 penalty minutes. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Westcott was signed by Columbus as a free agent on May 7, 2001.

The Crunch's next game is Wednesday, February 6 as they travel to Rochester to take on the Americans.
