July 31, 2014 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Sacramento River Cats News Release
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - In the wake of Addison Russell's trade to the Chicago Cubs, the Sacramento River Cats have traded a box of Addison Russell Home Grown Garden Gnomes with a bottle of local wine and a Jelly Belly gift pack to the Tennessee Smokies-the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs-in exchange for five garden gnomes made to resemble Homer, the team's mascot, which are signed by Addison Russell, a jar of moonshine, and several moon pies.
The River Cats will still give away thousands of Addison Russell garden gnomes this Friday, Aug.1., with a small number of Addison Russell-signed Homer gnomes mixed in. Fans will also be able to enter to win the Tennessee prize pack which contains an Addison Russell-signed gnome, a jar of moonshine, and several moon pies.
No corresponding moves will be made.
