Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster move affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- RHP Robinson Leyer promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem
The reigning Carolina League Pitcher of the Week, Leyer has worked 14 consecutive scoreless innings. The Dominican Republic product is 3-6 with a 4.30 earned run average in 16 starts, all of which have come with the Dash. This marks the first promotion to Double-A for the righty, who is the younger brother of current Dash reliever Euclides Leyer.
The Dash currently have 24 active players, along with one MLB rehab (RHP Nate Jones) and one on the disabled list (LHP Jace Fry).
