RHP Joakim Soria to Rehab with Express

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced that Round Rock will be the third stop in reliever Joakim Soria's rehabilitation stint as the right-hander was transferred to the Express Friday.

The two-time All-Star pitched five seasons with the Kansas City Royals, earning Midsummer Classic nods in 2008 and 2010. While with the Royals he compiled a 2.40 ERA and 160 career major league saves. In 2008, Soria recorded 42 saves before topping his career-best mark with 43 in 2010. This season, Soria made one stop with the AZL Rangers, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning on June 26 after making two appearances with the RoughRiders. While with Frisco, Soria logged 2.0 scoreless innings, striking out three. He threw 22 pitches over those two appearances, 14 for strikes.

The Express continues a four-game homestand tonight against the New Orleans Zephyrs
