Celebrate Independence Day Weekend With the Tucson Padres

The first-place Tucson Padres return home to Kino Stadium on Thursday, July 4th and remain home through Wednesday, July 10. The team has a spectacular array of promotions celebrating this holiday weekend. Here is a look at the Fourth of July events at Kino Stadium:

July 4:

- Tucson Padres vs. Las Vegas 51s, game time is 7:05. Gates open at 5:30 on July 4th. Fans are urged to come early to beat the rush.

- The skies will light up over Kino Stadium on Thursday, July 4th.

- The July 4th fireworks show will be the biggest of the season and will be accompanied by patriotic music.

- The Tucson Padres Star Spangled Spectacular shows are presented by GIANT, NOVA Home Loans, Western Refining, Desert Diamond Casino, KiiM-FM 99.5, K-HIT 107.5, 1290 AM The Source and KOLD-TV!

- The band The GRIND will perform before and after the game on July 4th.

- Kids can run the bases following the fireworks show on July 4th, 5th and 6th.

July 5:

- On Friday the first 3,000 fans will get a miniature American flag compliments of the U.S. Army.

- A U.S. Army Swearing In Ceremony for some young men and women entering the service will take place on the field prior to the July 5th game.

- U.S. Army Jazz Band will perform in the Grove (Gate A) prior to the game.

- The skies will light up over Kino Stadium on Friday, July 5th.

- $2 off ticket vouchers (box seats or general admission) are available for Friday's game at all GIANT convenient store locations.

July 6th:

- Tucson Padres Patriotic T-Shirt Night presented by Chase, KGUN-TV and 104.1 The Truth.

- Tucson Padres vs. Las Vegas 51s at Kino Stadium, game time 7:05; gates open at 6:00 pm.

- First 2,000 adults, 17 and older, with a paid admission get a FREE Patriotic Padres t-shirt titled Saluting Our Heroes.
