ROUND ROCK, Texas - Kyle Jensen drilled a first inning three run home run and a third inning two run double to drive in five runs and lead the Zephyrs to a 9-4 win Friday night against the Round Rock Express. The Zephyrs improve to 41-41.

The Z's offense scored three in the first inning. Gorkys Hernandez led off the game with a single, Donovan Solano reached on a walk and Jensen delivered a three run home run with one out.

In the third inning the Zephyrs sent ten batters to the plate and scored five runs on six hits. Jensen ripped a two run double for his second hit of the contest. It was the seventh time this season the Z's batted around in an inning.

The Z's chased the Express starter Brad Mills out of the game. Mills had his shortest outing of the season pitching 2.1 innings allowed eight runs on eight hits. He falls to 7-2 for the season.

Doug Mathis improved to 3-6 on the season pitching six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. The Zephyrs scored nine runs for Mathis in the start, one more run than his previous five starts combined.

James Leverton pitched the final three innings and earned a save.

The Zephyrs are now five games back of first place Round Rock.
