June 6, 2012 - Eastern League (EL1)
Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - The golden promised land of summer vacation is nearly here for students in and around the Altoona area and the Altoona Curve would like to help make the start to your summer that much better by offering up free tickets to area youth on two of their upcoming Thursday night games.
The end-of-the-year report cards will be coming home shortly and the Curve want to help students put that to good use on Report Card Night, which will take place Thursday, June 14 when the Curve and Trenton Thunder (AA - New York Yankees) wrap up a series at 7 p.m. All kids have to do is bring their report card, good or bad (but hopefully good!), to the ballpark for the Thursday night game and they will get a free Grandstand seat. So keep the report card away from your dog, don't let the dinosaur eat it and don't pay off the postman as you can use it on June 14.
Altoona's game with the New Britain Rock Cats a week later on Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m. will now also be Bonus FREE Kids Club game for the 2012 Galliker's Kids' Club. The Kids' Club, which is free to join for children 12 and under, now has seven free games left including the next Kids' Club date, which is a fireworks night on Wednesday, June 13.
The extra game will also help Kids' Club members achieve some of their games-attended incentives quicker like the free Curve Coloring & Activity Book or Comic Book (four games attended), the autographed mini bat (six games attended) or the Curve t-shirt (eight games attended). The theme for this Kids' Club game will be beach attire as the promises of summer always bring with them trips to the beach and pool. So, wear your best-looking beach-wear to the game!
Baseball returns to Curve, Pa. on Tuesday, June 12th when the Trenton Thunder, affiliates of the New York Yankees, make their way to Peoples Natural Gas Field beginning at 7 p.m. The homestand is filled with a Two-for-Tuesday, postgame fireworks, a Silver Steamers Club game presented by Homewood at Martinsburg, a free Galliker's Kids' Club game and a Puzzle Cube Giveaway on the first night in the Nittany Travel Summer Cruise Series.
For tickets and a complete listing of all the events and promotions on the upcoming homestand, call 877.99.CURVE, visit AltoonaCurve.com or stop by the box office windows at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
