Today's Game: It's Super Hero night at Greater Nevada Field and the Aces offense has had plenty of 'super' performances this week. Over their last five games, Reno is batting .374 with 38 runs scored (7.6 per game), 70 hits and 7 home runs. In his last three games, Christian Walker is batting .750 (9-for-12) with two home runs and five RBI. Socrates Brito is batting .500 (11-for-22, with 3 home runs and 9 RBI. Reno has out-hit their opponent 70-48 over their last five games and is 3-2.

Last Game: An offensive explosion propelled the Aces to their 32nd win of the season. Socrates Brito and Christian Walker continued their red-hot bats against the Cubs. In their three games played (Walker: 9-for-12, Brito: 9-for-13, 14 R, 3 home runs). Aces starter Anthony Vasquez enjoyed the 13 runs of support. The southpaw tossed five innings, allowed four runs and struck out five to pick up his 5th win of the season.

Now We're Cookin': The win last night gave the Aces a 2-1 series victory over the Iowa Cubs. Reno has won four consecutive series, beginning May 30th against Las Vegas. 3-2 vs. Las Vegas, 2-1 @ Nashville, and 3-1 @ Memphis. The Aces are 8-5 in the month of June and are winners of seven of their last 10. Reno is 10-7 this year in head-to-head series.

El Super Brito: Socrates Brito has been on a tear in 2018, climbing into the top five in the Pacific Coast League with an average of .345. He enters tonight's contest 68-for-197, with 14 doubles, 2 3B, and six home runs. In the month of June, Brito is batting .436 (17-for-39) with 10 runs scored and four home runs. His huge totals have the Aces second in batting (.304) behind Round Rock (.315) in June compared to .264 in the month of May.

Power Arms: Silvino Bracho and Braden Shipley were added to the Aces roster today following brief stints with Arizona. Bracho is 2-0 in 11 appearances with Arizona this season and boasts an ERA of 1.42. With the Aces, Bracho is 1-1 with an ERA of 5.94. Braden Shipley made the transition to the bullpen in the middle of May and quickly saw a promotion. On June 11, Shipley was recalled by the D-backs and made two appearances out of the 'Pen. He worked three innings of relief and did not allow a single hit, run or walk. With the Aces, the Nevada alum is 3-4 with a 6.48 ERA.

Christian Walker, Ildemaro Vargas and Jimmie Sherfy represented the Biggest Little City last year in Tacoma and all remain on today's active roster. Big Club, Big Numbers: Former Aces shortstop Ketel Marte is having a career year with the D-backs in 2018. Marte is tied for the Major League lead with 7 triples with Yolmer Sanchez/CWS and ahead of Chris Taylor/LAD (6). Arizona's 26 triples are tied for the third-most in team history before the All-Star break (also: 2008 and '14), behind 2016 (34) and 2004 (29). The D-backs lead the Majors with 26 triples, 4 more than the Pirates (22)...Arizona led the Majors with 39 triples in 2017. Reno is fifth in the Pacific Coast League with 24 triples this season. Ildemaro Vargas leads the way with five, Rey Fuentes has three and five players have two.
