From the Notes

17 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his hitting streak to 17 games last night with a double in the fifth inning. He's hitting .375 (27-for-72) with 14 runs, 9 RBI, 4 doubles, 2 home runs and 7 walks during the streak that is the second-longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League. Martini's streak is tied for the 6th-longest (Logan Schafer - '14, Brooks Conrad - '12, Taylor Green - '11, Trent Durrington - '05) by a Sounds player in the PCL era. Joe Koshansky has the 5th-longest streak by a Sounds player when he hit safely in 18 straight games during the 2010 season.

48 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his on-base streak to 48 games last night with a double in the fifth inning. He's hitting .339 (58-for-171) with 33 runs, 25 RBI, 9 doubles, 5 home runs and 35 walks during the streak that is the longest in Minor League Baseball. Martini just surpassed Fresno's Tyler White who had a 45-game on-base streak from April 5-May 24. The 48-game streak is the longest by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era.

Against the Isotopes: The Sounds and Isotopes have history dating back to 2003 when Nashville won 10 of 16 of the 16 games played. From 2003-2013, the two teams played each other 16 times per season. Since 2014, the two teams have met just four times per year. Albuquerque leads the all-time series, 98-92, including a 51-43 advantage in Albuquerque. The last time the Sounds won a series in Albuquerque was in 2014 when they took three of four.

Double Up: Just one night after matching a season-high with five doubles, the Sounds tallied a new season-high last night with six.

Sit 'Em Down: Nashville pitchers struck out a season-high 15 batters in last night's win over the Chihuahuas. Starter Eric Jokisch matched a career-high with 11 to become the second Sounds pitcher to post a 10+ strikeout game in 2018 (Frankie Montas, 10 - May 9 vs. Colorado Springs). The last Nashville pitcher to post at least 11 strikeouts in a single game was Sean Manaea on April 16, 2016 at Oklahoma City.
