Today's Game: The RedHawks seek to tie season bests with a three-game win streak and reach three games above .500 when they face the Albuquerque Isotopes at 2:35 p.m.

Last Game: Three RedHawks pitchers combined on a gem on at hitter-friendly Isotopes Park, leading OKC to a 3-1 win. Jarred Cosart (W, 2-0), Wes Musick, and Jose Valdez (SV, 4) allowed just one run and four hits to keep the Albuquerque offense in check. They also walked only one batter while tying a team season high with 11 strikeouts. The RedHawks scored twice in the fourth with RBIs by Marc Krauss and Jimmmy Paredes. The Isotopes responded in the bottom of the innning with their only run of the night, but the OKC pitching staff retired 18 of the final 20 hitters they made it 2-1. A throwing error in the eighth allowed the RedHawks to tack on another run.

Today's Probable Pitchers: Ross Seaton looks to bounce back from a rough outing last Sunday against Memphis...Making the first relief appearance of his professional career, Seaton allowed seven runs and six hits over three innings...He entered the game with a 3-2 lead in the sixth, and started off with a 1-2-3 inning...Memphis then proceeded to score four runs in the seventh and three in the eighth...The result was a bit surprising for Seaton, who had allowed one earned run in each of four-straight Triple-A starts going back to last season...Seaton made his RedHawks debut in a spot start against the Isotopes last season on April 22 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark...He went 4.2 innings and gave up six runs in the fourth, including a grand slam by Josh Bard...Outside of that inning Seaton was effective, but did not figure in the decision.

With Brett Oberholtzer's promotion to Houston, there is no designated "second starter" following Seaton today.

Against the Isotopes: 2013: 1-0 2012: 7-9 All-time: 82-77 In ALB: 36-45

The final tally of the 2012 season series is a bit misleading...Albuquerque won three of four in each of the first three series...Needing a sweep to keep their playoff hopes alive, the RedHawks took all four from the Isotopes in the second-to-last series of the regular season...The Albuquerque offense was hard to stop last year, as the Isotopes hit .320, bashed 19 home runs, and averaged 5.8 runs per game...Former RedHawk Brad Snyder did most of the work for OKC last year, hitting .400 with two homers and 13 RBIs...The RedHawks have lost the season series with Albuquerque in three of the last four seasons.

Today's Transactions: Earlier today, they Houston Astros announced they have recalled RedHawks pitcher Brett Oberholtzer and optioned pitcher Dallas Keuchel to Oklahoma City. Oberholtzer was off to a rough start in 2013, going 0-2 with a 9.64 ERA in three starts. Keuchel was on the RedHawks Opening Day roster, but he was recalled to Houston before making an appearance. He allowed eight runs and 13 hits over 10.2 innings of relief work for Houston.

Taking the Air Out: Last night marked just the third time in the RedHawks last 22 games in Albuquerque they held the Isotopes to less than four runs. The Isotopes had scored at least seven runs 13 times over that stretch. The last time the RedHawks held the Isotopes to just one run in Albuquerque was May 2, 2012--a game in which the RedHawks trailed 1-0 after eight innings, but won 4-1. Following that game, the RedHawks allowed 48 runs over their next five games at Isotopes Park.

New Crowe Medicine Show: After going hitless in the first two games of the season, Trevor Crowe has hit safely in each of the last 14 games (.370, 20x54), tying him with Corey Dickerson of Colorado Springs for the longest streak in the PCL this season. It's also the longest hit streak of his career since an 18-game streak May 25-July 16, 2009 with the Columbus Clippers. He and Jake Elmore are the only teammates in the PCL this season to each have hit streaks of 10 games or longer. Going back to last season while playing for Salt Lake, Crowe has reached base safely in 37 consecutive games in the PCL. The current streak started against the RedHawks on Aug. 7.

To the Nines: Marc Krauss hit safely in each of his last nine games (.400, 12x30). Even more impressively, Krauss racked up 14 RBI during the streak, driving in at least one run in seven times. In five of the nine games he's had at least two RBI. He has catapulted to the team lead with 17 RBI, which is also tied for fifth in the PCL.

Jake Takes the Cake: Jake Elmore has cooled down a bit, going 1-for-10 over the last three games. However, his .377 average still ranks sixth in the league. He has reached base safely in all 16 games, making him just one of four players in the PCL--including Trevor Crowe--with an on-base streak of that length. Last season Elmore recorded a PCL-best 31-game hitting streak and 46-game on-base streak while playing with Reno.

Valiant Villar: After getting off to a 2-for-34 start, Jonathan Villar is 10-for-24 (.417) over his last six games, with four multi-hit efforts. During this stretch he has collected all three of his RBI and all four of his extra-base hits for the season.

Wally's World: Brett Wallace will report to the RedHawks today after being optioned by the Astros on Thursday. Last season Wallace hit .300 with 16 homers and 57 RBI over 86 games with OKC. He got off to a rough start in the Majors this season, going 1-for-24 with 17 strikeouts.

Power Outage: The RedHawks have not homered in seven straight games and are tied with New Orleans for the least homers in the PCL with eight. The last time they were held at least seven straight games without a home run was Aug. 10-19, 2011 (9 games).
