MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis and Albuquerque battled back and forth Wednesday night at AutoZone Park before the Redbirds emerged with a 5-4 victory to claim their third straight win over the Isotopes.

After Albuquerque tied the game 4-4 in the top of the eighth inning on a Lucas May RBI-single, the ‘Birds rallied for a run in the bottom of the inning to claim the lead for good. Matt Pagnozzi led off the inning with his first extra-base hit of the year, a double, and came around to score on Ruben Gotay's second RBI-single of the game. Oneli Perez nailed down the win with a perfect ninth inning to earn his second save of the season. Gotay and Pagnozzi each had two hits to help lead Memphis with Allen Craig picking up a pair of singles and scoring two runs in the win. Jamie Hoffman and John Lindsay each had three hits to pace the ‘Topes.

Redbirds reliever Josh Kinney picked up his first win of the year despite a blown save in his lone inning of work. Justin Miller took the loss for Albuquerque giving up one run on three hits in the eighth inning. Memphis starter Evan MacLane allowed three runs on nine hits over six innings.

The ‘Birds wrap up their four-game homestand and series with Albuquerque tomorrow afternoon with game time slated for 1:05 p.m. Every Thursday for $30 fans can receive a club level ticket, an exclusive Redbirds Mug Club mug, two vouchers for draft beers and discounted beer after the vouchers are used.
