Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev. - Arizona Diamondbacks star IF/OF Conor Jackson will join the Reno Aces on a rehabilitation assignment Wednesday, the D-backs announced today.

The six-year Major League veteran was hitting .267 in 11 games before being sidelined on April 19 with a hamstring injury. A career .280 hitter, Jackson is expected to be in the lineup tonight for the Aces 6:05 p.m. game against the Las Vegas 51s.

Jackson will become the eighth Diamondback in franchise history to come to Reno on a Major League rehab assignment, joining Eric Byrnes, Tony Clark, Stephen Drew, Tom Gordon, Yusmeiro Petit, Chris Snyder and Chad Tracy, who all came during the 2009 season.

Wednesday is Corona Cinco de Mayo presented by Wild 102.9, and the Aces are celebrating with a special Corona Cinco de Mayo Celebration. The first 1,250 fans to purchase a Corona at Wednesday's 6:05 game will receive a limited-edition Aces sombrero. In addition, tacos and carne asada will be served at select concession stands around Aces Ballpark.

There are also a limited number of Coors Light Party Zone tickets available for Wednesday's game. For just $14, fans get a ticket to the Coors Light Party Zone and a commemorative Cinco de Mayo t-shirt.

Single-game tickets for all games start at just $7, while ticket plans for the 2010 season start at just $154. Fans can get more information on mini-plans, as well as half- and full-season ticket plans by calling (775) 334-4700.
