Red Claws Announce Draft Results, Training Camp Roster

October 31, 2015 - NBA G League (G League) - Maine Red Claws News Release

PORTLAND, Maine - October 31, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, finished up the 2015 NBA Development League Draft with five players headed to training camp. Two players were traded after the draft.

Red Claws Draft Picks By Round:

Round 1 - 11th overall - Asika Booker - Guard - Colorado*

Round 2 - 31st overall - Ella Ellis - Forward - Army

Round 3 - 40th overall - Brett Olson - Guard - Denver

Round 4 - 76th overall - Jermaine Marshall - Guard - Arizona State

Round 5 - 95th overall - Quardell Young - Guard - Wisc.-Whitewater*

*After the draft, the Red Claws completed a three-team trade with Bakersfield and Texas:

- Maine traded Asika Booker to Bakersfield for rights to Kevin Young (Forward - Kansas - drafted 1st round, 17th overall) and Karrington Ward (Forward - Eastern Michigan - drafted 2nd round, 20th overall)

- Maine traded Quardell Young to Texas.

- Texas traded a 2016 8th round pick to Bakersfield.

Affiliate Players (assigned from the Boston Celtics): Coty Clarke, Malcolm Miller, Levi Randolph, Corey Walden

Returning Players (invited to camp): Omari Johnson, Ralph Sampson III, Andre Stringer

Drafted Players (invited to camp): Ella Ellis, Jermaine Marshall, Brett Olson, Karrington Ward, Kevin Young

Tryout Players (invited to camp): Brenton Williams, Coron Williams, Cannen Cunningham, Curtis Washington

Training camp begins Monday. The Red Claws open the 2015-16 season on November 12th at Westchester. Maine's home opener is November 20th vs. Raptors 905 at the Portland Expo. Tickets are on sale now.
