
Rangers Falter to Firebirds 6-4

The Rangers hosted the Flint Firebirds for the first time at The Aud since Fri, Oct 18th 2019. The Rangers wore specialty jerseys for the 16th Annual Remembrance Day Game - with game-worn jerseys being auctioned off during the game in the Subscribers Lounge. All proceeds will be donated to local military charities through Rangers Reach.
The first period was all Rangers, as they score two unanswered goals. The first coming from recent signing and call up Antonino Pugliese - his first OHL goal in his second OHL game. Francesco Pinelli, and Jacob LeBlanc with the assists.
Shortly after, Captain Francesco Pinelli adds to the Rangers lead - assisted by Declan McDonnell and Justin Nolet.
The second period the momentum changed in Flint's direction, after numerous penalties to both sides, Flint puts up three goals (Othmann with two goals, Bertucci with one).
The Rangers come out firing in the 3rd, with Francesco Pinelli scoring his second of the game just 24 seconds into the period. Adam Zidlicky gives the Rangers back the lead and gets his first OHL goal minutes later. Flint scores to re-tie the game after a penalty was called to Ty Hollett. Despite Pavel Cajan's best efforts, Flint ends up scoring two more times, one an empty netter to secure their win.
