Kevin Porter

San Antonio center Kevin Porter has been on a Rampage of late, tallying four points in his last five games (2g, 2a) to take hold of the team lead in points (14).

The 23 year-old Plymouth, Michigan native has registered five goals and nine assists for 14 points in 15 games with the Rampage this season. In 2009-10, Porter has appeared in two NHL games with Phoenix, recording a plus- 1 rating and one shot on goal.

Saturday, Nov. 28 vs. Milwaukee Admirals, AT&T Center, 7 p.m.

Milwaukee will make their first visit to the Alamo City of the 2009-10 campaign on Tuesday. Last season, San Antonio earned a record of 2-3-0-1 against the Admirals, including a 1-2-0-0 re- cord against Milwaukee at the AT&T Center. The Admirals enter this week with an overall record of 8-6-1-2 and currently sit four points ahead of San Antonio in the West Division stand- ings. The Admirals are 5-3-1-1 in their last 10 games and are led by center Cal O'Reilly with four goals and 15 assists for 19 points in his first 12 games in 2009-10.

PUCKS AND PAWS: Fans are encouraged to bring their four-legged friend to the Rampage game this Saturday. Tickets are $20 ($15 human ticket, $5 dog ticket). A por- tion of the proceeds will benefit the 2012 Animal No Kill Initiative.

OFFENSIVE DEFENSEMAN: Rampage defenseman Sean Sullivan is cur- rently tied for first among AHL blueliners in game-winning goals (2) and tied for third among AHL defensemen in assists (10). Sullivan has 13 points (3g, 10a) in his first 15 games of the 2009-10 campaign thus far, ranking him tied for fifth among AHL blueliners in that category.

EARLY ADVANTAGE: San Antonio is 5-0-1-0 this season when scoring first in a contest and 2-0-0-0 when leading after the first period of play.

SPECIAL TEAMS: San Antonio is currently ranked 20th overall on the power play (14.0%) and 16th overall on the penalty kill (83.3%). The Rampage maintain the AHL's 18th-ranked home power play percentage (15.2 %) and are ranked 21st among AHL teams in home penalty kill percentage (80.8 %).

NEW DIRECTION: The Coyotes announced today that Greg Ireland has been relieved of his coaching duties. Ray Edwards will now serve as the team's interim head coach and Mike Pelino will join the Rampage coaching staff from the New York Rangers as the assistant coach.

COYOTE WATCH: The Phoenix Coyotes, San Antonio's NHL parent club, currently hold a 13-9-1 record through 23 games and presently sit in third place in the NHL's Pacific Division with 27 standings points. On Saturday, Phoenix defeated the visiting Philadelphia Flyers by a 3-1 score at Jobing.com Arena in Phoenix.
