Portland Pirates News Release
Portland, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that they have released Hans Benson from a Professional Tryout Agreement.
Benson played 10 games for the Pirates, collecting 35 minutes in penalties. The 26 year-old is expected to play for the Cincinnati Cyclones in their ECHL game on Wednesday.
The Pirates (9-10-2-0) return to action with four straight on the road beginning Friday in Hartford at 7 p.m.
The next Portland home game will take place Friday, December 4th in Lewiston at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee against the Providence Bruins at 7 p.m. Purchase a ticket for the game and receive a free ticket to a future Pirates game.
