SHOTS FROM THE POINT

WHAT A SCHMOZZLE: In the AHL West Division the 2nd - 6th place teams are separated by just nine points.

THE GREAT RACE: The Rampage are four points back of Rockford for second place in the AHL West and home ice-advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

WHITEWASHES: Rampage goalie Al Montoya turned aside all 31 shots he faced to blank Peoria 6-0 on 03/29. It was the team's fourth shutout of the season, all coming from different goalies, and the first for Montoya since coming over in a trade from the New York Rangers organization.

Ice Chips

NEW RECORD CONTINUES: The Rampage recorded their 38th win with a 6-0 victory over Peoria on 03/29. The previous record was 36 done in the 2002-03 season. San Antonio currently still has eight games left this season.

PLAYOFF WATCH: The top four teams in each division will qualify for the postseason. Since there are eight teams in the West Division (seven teams in other three), the 5th place team will move into the North Division's 4th place spot if it has more points than the 4th place team in the North.
