Devils Sign Burton To ATO

LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils announced that they have signed forward Tyler Burton to an amateur tryout agreement.

Burton, 22, recently completed his senior year at Colgate University, where he led both his team and the ECAC in scoring. The native of Langley, B.C. was the conference's leader with 23 goals and 41 points, while also adding 18 assists over 42 games.

A four-year letterman, Burton totaled 82 goals, 73 assists and 158 penalty minutes in 158 contests for the Raiders. In addition to ranking first for the Raiders in goals and points this year, he was also the team's leader in both categories during his freshman (19-15-34) and junior seasons (18-22-40). Burton's 155 career points tied him for 16th on Colgate's all-time scoring list with current NHLer Andy MacDonald.

The Lowell Devils play two games at home next weekend. Friday, April 4 is Lowell Night when the Devils take the ice against the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 p.m. All Lowell residents get in for just $10. The following day is Fan Appreication Night when the Providence Bruins visit at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 in attendance will receive a Stephen Gionta bobblehead courtesy of Trinity EMS.
