The 'Dogs wrap up their road swing and host two games at Copps Coliseum this weekend

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will wrap up their six-game road trip on Friday before returning home for two tilts at Copps Coliseum on the weekend. Hamilton will head to the Quicken Loans Arena on Friday, April 4th to take on the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will then host the Monsters the next night (Saturday, April 5th) at 7:00 p.m. before rounding out the week with a matinee battle at Copps Coliseum versus the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) on Sunday, April 6th at 4:00 p.m.

Last week, the 'Dogs posted a 1-2-0-1 record in four road games against East Division opponents. Hamilton opened the week with a 7-1 loss to the Binghamton Senators on Wednesday, March 26th. The Bulldogs then travelled to the state of Pennsylvania for three contests in three days. The 'Dogs dropped a 5-4 decision in a shootout to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday, March 28th before suffering a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Hershey Bears on Saturday, March 29th. Hamilton then snapped its franchise-long 12-game losing and winless streaks on Sunday, March 30th with a 5-2 win over the Phantoms in Philadelphia.

BULLDOGS NOTES:
- Hamilton's next loss will eliminate the Club from 2008 Calder Cup playoff contention. The Bulldogs can also be eliminated if the Syracuse Crunch (seven games remaining) and Houston Aeros (eight games remaining) gain one more point each, and if the San Antonio Rampage (eight games remaining) gain two more points
- With a win over the Phantoms on Sunday (Mar. 30), the Bulldogs snapped their franchise-long losing and winless streaks at 12 games. The 'Dogs previous franchise-long losing streak was eight games (November 6th-to-21st during the 2004-2005 season) and their previous franchise-long winless skid was 10 contests (October 8th-to-31st during the 1999-2000 campaign)
- Scoring 11 seconds into Friday's tilt (Mar. 28) in Wilkes-Barre, RW Matt D'Agostini set a Bulldogs' franchise record for the fastest goal at the start of a game. Former 'Dog Gavin Morgan scored 12 seconds into a game back on October 30th, 2004 against the Crunch in Syracuse. D'Agostini, who also scored his 20th goal of the season and added two assists yesterday (Mar. 30) in Philadelphia, has now reached the 20-goal plateau in each of his first-two American Hockey League campaigns
- RW Duncan Milroy, earning a goal and two assists last week, now has 178-career points (75-103-178) and has moved past Tomas Plekanec (71-105-176) for third place on the Bulldogs all-time scoring list
- RW Jonathan Ferland snapped a career-high 28-game goalless drought with his 12th tally of the season on Friday night (Mar. 28) against the Penguins. Ferland is the only Bulldog to have dressed in all 73 of Hamilton's games this season
