WHAT'S ON TAP
The Peoria Rivermen opens the month of April with four of seven remaining games at home and a playoff berth on the line. As of Monday, Peoria sits in sixth place in the West Division, five points behind both Milwaukee and San Antonio who are both currently in the playoffs if the season were to end today. This week the Rivermen head to Iowa to battle the Stars on Friday night before returning home for key games against Chicago Saturday and Houston Sunday.
2008-09 SEASON TICKET INFORMATION
The Peoria Rivermen announced season ticket pricing for the 2008-09 Season, with fans receiving a great deal with Early Bird pricing - the same price as back in 2006-07!
Season Ticket Holders will also receive a new benefit - Weekday Bonus Tickets for Friends!
Fans paying in full by May 15 will receive Early Bird Full Season Ticket pricing as follows: Lower Bowl - $560 per seat ($240 savings; average ticket price=$14); Upper Bowl - $398 per seat ($202 savings; average ticket price=$9.95); and Upper Bowl, Pilot's House - $350 per seat ($130 savings; average ticket price=$8.75).
In addition, for every seat purchased, each full season ticket holder will receive an Upper Bowl ticket for every weekday game played during the season. For example, four (4) Lower Bowl, Full Season tickets purchased equals four (4) Upper Bowl tickets to each weekday Rivermen game during the 2008-09 season.
Fans who put half down by the May 15 deadline and pay in full by August 1 will invest $685 for a Lower Bowl seat ($115 savings; average ticket price=$17.13), $495 for an Upper Bowl seat ($105 savings; average ticket price=$12.38) and $440 for an Upper Bowl, Pilot's House seat ($40 savings: average ticket price=$11).
Full season ticket holders will continue to receive the Unused Ticket Redemption benefit but will not be able to redeem unused tickets on concert nights.
Walk-up ticket prices for 2008-09 are as follows: Lower Bowl=$20, Upper Bowl=$15 and Pilot's House=$12.
RIVERMEN PROMOTIONS
Saturday, April 5 vs. Chicago Wolves - 7 pm
High School Musical's Corbin Bleu will be on hand to pose for pictures and sign autographs for fans at the game from 6-8:30 pm, with 8x10 color photos on sale for just $5 each! Presented by Wingate by Wyndham.
Also, at 2 pm the 2nd Annual Physicians vs. Firefighters Charity Hockey Game will take place to benefit Children's Hospital of Illinois. Tickets are on sale now through Firefighter's Local 50 by calling Joe Troglio at (309) 369-0407 or OSF Mighty Docs' John Farrell at (309) 258-2878. Seats are sold for $13 each, or two for $25.
Sunday April 6 vs. Houston Aeros - 3 pm
It's our final Comcast Cable/Peoria Journal Star Family Fun on the Run Day! There's $1 upper bowl tickets for all kids 12-and-under; a post-game skate with the team; $1 hot dogs, Cokes, and bags of chips from 2-3 pm; inflatables for the kids to play around on, face painting, balloon animals, and more!
The Peoria Zoo will be on hand and they're looking for your old cell phones! Help the environment by recycling your old phone and accessories through the Zoo. Also, there will be displays from the zoo including several small animals. Bring the kids.
"Pride In Peoria" Day kicks off the city's anti-litter campaign with a special Chuck-A-Puck that includes additional prizes PLUS all city employees receive discounted tickets to the game by calling Alma Brown at (309) 494-8554.
Don't miss the pre-game Celebrity Broomball Challenge to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Featuring local celebrities such as Mayor Jim Ardis, WEEK-TV's Lee Hall, Dr. Chris Putnam, ESPN Radio's Doc and Kotter, former Rivermen Tyler Rennette, Peoria County Administrator Patrick Urich, and Anna Kinkade from 105.7 The X, the game will take place at 1:30 pm. If you wish to purchase your seats through the Rivermen office at (309) 680-3762 a part of each ticket sold will go to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Friday, April 11 vs. San Antonio Rampage - 7 pm
It's another Rivermen Post-Game Concert Event with Christian crossover rock artists Switchfoot, appearing along with special guests Athlete. Don't miss out on this full length concert event with two great bands!
Coyote Creek Night with the Rivermen - First 500 fans receive Coyote Creek/Rivermen golf balls with a special offer to Coyote Creek golf course!
Saturday, April 12 vs. Iowa Stars - 7 pm
Ralph Rashid/UFS Downtown Outlet Center Fan Appreciation Night! Come down and celebrate a great season of Rivermen Hockey!
American Idol Night featuring Justin Guarini, Kimberly Caldwell, and Gina Glocksen signing autographs before and during the game, plus a fun concert following the game with songs from each Idol!
Radio: All 80 games, home and away, are broadcast live on your NEW Home for Rivermen Hockey, 96.5 ESPN RADIO. All broadcasts begin one half-hour before game time with the Voice of the Rivermen, Tom Callahan.
Internet Audio: LIVE streaming audio of all Rivermen games is available for no charge at www.rivermen.net.
Internet Video: LIVE streaming video with the accompanying audio feed is available at www.rivermen.net through B2 networks. The video webcast of each game is available for a pay-per-view fee of $6.

Full Playoff Packages are now on sale through the Rivermen team office by calling (309) 676-1040. If you reserve a full playoff package by Friday, April 4 you will receive the same pricing for all four rounds instead of having to pay the price increase for each round! Plus for every seat you order you will receive and equal number of upper bowl seats to the first and second playoff games - bring family and friends out to the contests with you. Lock in the same seats for every playoff game and pay the discounted price!

Tuesday, March 25 - RIVERMEN 2 @ Houston 3 (SO)
Jim Jackson set up Chris Porter and Trent Whitfield goals to help Peoria to a 2-0 lead through 40 minutes of play, but the Aeros retaliated with a pair of power play markers in the third period to force a shootout. Barry Brust (26 saves) stopped all five shooters faced in the extra session, while Ben Bishop (25 saves) helped Peoria to the single point and stopped 3-of-4 shooters.
Thursday, March 27 - RIVERMEN 2 @ San Antonio 4
Chris Porter scored the first and last goals of the game, but in between the San Antonio Rampage netted four, including two off the stick of David Spina. Bill Thomas and former Rivermen player Mike Zigomanis added singles in the contest. Ben Bishop stopped 33 shots in the loss while Al Montoya made 31 saves in the win.
Friday, March 28 - RIVERMEN 5 @ Houston 1
Yan Stastny recorded two goals and an assist to lead the Rivermen past the Houston Aeros 5-1 on Friday night. Ryan Reaves scored the game winner and added an assist, while both he and Stastny notched "Gordie Howe" hat tricks in the game as well. Trent Whitfield and Ryan Glenn each scored singles for Peoria in the victory. Marek Schwarz stopped 18 shots for the win.
Saturday, March 29 - RIVERMEN 0 @ San Antonio 6
Peoria was unable to get the offense going against Al Montoya as he made 31 saves to blank the Rivermen Saturday night. Chris Durno scored twice and Mike Zigomanis (3a) and David Spina (1-2-3) added three point games in the victory. Marek Schwarz turned aside 35 shots in the loss.
