San Antonio Rampage News Release
THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Friday, Dec. 17 vs. Texas Stars
AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Rampage begin a three-in-three series this weekend by hosting the Texas Stars. The Rampage are 1-2-1-0 when facing Texas this season, and trail the club by one point in the Lone Star Faceoff standings.
Saturday, Dec. 18 @ Oklahoma City Barons
Cox Convention Center, 7:05 p.m.
The Rampage travel to the Cox Convention Center where they own a 2-0- 0-0 record this season. The Rampage have outscored the Barons 10-4 in those contests.
Sunday, Dec. 19 vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
AT&T Center, 4:30 p.m.
The Rampage return home to finish a three-in-three series as they skate against the Hamilton Bulldogs for the first time this season. San Antonio went 0-2-0-0 against the Bulldogs during the 2009-10 campaign and hold an all-time record of 1-6-1-0 when facing Hamilton.
TEDDY BEAR TOSS NIGHT: The Rampage will host their 6th annual Teddy Bear Toss Night this Friday. Fans are encour- aged to bring a new, unwrapped stuffed animal to the game to throw on the ice when the Rampage score their first goal. Teddy bears collected will be donated to the Marine Corps-' Toys for Tots and Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.
SUNDAY FUNDAY: Every Sunday fans can enjoy a free pre- game skate 2 hours prior to faceoff. Fans can also purchase a $10 ticket that includes a free hot dog, chips and soda.
BOOK DRIVE: The Rampage will host a book drive at their game on Dec. 19. Books collected prior to the game will be donated to local youth charities.
GOING STREAKING: Left wing Alex Picard is currently riding a six-game point streak with four goals and five assists for nine points. Right wing Petr Prucha is on a five-game point streak adding seven points with four goals and three assists. Right wing Matt Watkins extended his point-streak to three games after adding an assist vs. Manitoba on Saturday.
EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT: For the first time in franchise history, the Rampage earned their 20th win of the season before Christmas as they defeated the Manitoba Moose in a 5-4 shootout decision on Dec. 11 improving their record to 20-7-1-0.
ROAD TRIP: The Rampage concluded a five-game road trip on Friday ending with an impressive 4-1 record. They outscored their opponents 19-13 in that time, including six power-play goals on 20 man-advantage opportunities for a 30% success rate. Overall they lead the league in power-play percentage (29.6%) on the road going 16-for-54. Goal- tender Matt Climie appeared in four of the five away contests registering a 2.97 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.
BIG MAC: Rampage right wing Brett MacLean is one point shy of tying franchise points leader Joel Perrault (133).
ICE CHIPS: Bracken Kearns- Center
Bracken Kearns is currently riding a three-game assist streak. Kearns has contributed three goals and 12 assists in 21 games so far this season.
Last season, Kearns had 51 points on 15 goals and 36 assists during 80 games with the Rockford IceHogs.
The Vancouver, British Columbia native has skated in 375 profes- sional games recording 227 overall points with 88 goals and 138 assists. In the AHL, he has been a member of the Cleveland Barons, Milwaukee Admirals, Norfolk Admirals and the Rockford IceHogs.
