March 4, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (24-27-8-0) fell to the Manitoba Moose (18-30-4-5) 3-0 in front of 10,245 at the AT&T Center on Friday night. It was Military Appreciation Night, presented by On Time Elmer and the first game back in the Alamo City after the team's annual Rodeo Road Trip.
The Moose struck first, getting a tally from Austen Brassard late in the opening period. The Silver and Black were outshot 16-11 in the middle frame and found themselves trailing 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. With the Moose on the power play, Nic Petan sent a sharp pass across the crease to Scott Kosmachuk on the doorstep, who potted his 13th of the season.
The final stanza was scoreless until late in the period when Ryan Olsen scored an empty-net goal to seal the 3-0 win for Manitoba. The Rampage are now winless in three contests against Manitoba with one game remaining in the season series.
Roman Will finished with 33 saves on 35 shots, and San Antonio was scoreless on six power-play opportunities.
Lineup Notes Taylor Beck made his Rampage debut, skating on San Antonio's top line with Andrew Agozzino and Joey Hishon. Dennis Everberg returned to the ice after missing three games with an injury and played alongside Reid Petryk and Alex Belzile, who was recalled from Fort Wayne on Thursday. Roman Will started in net.
