AHL Stockton Heat

Poirier Ends Goal Drought in Road Loss

March 4, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Stockton Heat News Release

San Diego, Calif. - Stockton Heat forward Emile Poirier ends his nine-game stretch without a goal with his first power-play goal of the season, but the Heat fall to the San Diego Gulls 3-1 Friday night at the Valley View Casino Center. Poirier's goal was assisted by Kenny Agostino and Drew Shore, earning their respective 25th and 20th helpers on the season - good for first and second on the team in the category. Unfortunately, penalty kill troubles again cripple the Heat, allowing a pair of power-play markers for San Diego that were the essential difference in tonight's tilt. The Stockton Heat and the San Diego Gulls will meet again Saturday night right back in San Diego for the finale of this two-game series.
