Penguins Reassign Four to Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today they have reassigned four players to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL). Forwards John McCarron and Tyler Biggs, as well as defensemen Harrison Ruopp and Clark Seymour will join the Nailers.

McCarron has appeared in 12 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season and has not recorded any points.

In 34 games for Wheeling this season, McCarron has earned eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points. At the time of his call up on Jan. 27, the Macomb, Mich. native led the Nailers in shots (125).

Biggs, in his third pro season and first in the Penguins organization, has one goal and one assist in eight games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during the 2015-16 campaign.

In eight career ECHL games (all played with the Orlando Solar Bears in 2014-15), Biggs recorded four goals and two assists for six total points.

In 29 games with Wheeling this season, Ruopp has earned two goals and three assists for five points and 65 penalty minutes.

Ruopp has played in eight games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season and made his season debut on Jan. 16, 2016 at Syracuse.

Seymour has set AHL career highs in goals (3), assists (2), and points (5) in 15 games with the Penguins this season. The second-year pro scored his first AHL goal on Dec. 16, 2015 against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Seymour has appeared in 19 games for Wheeling this season, earning four goals and six assists for 10 points as well as 28 penalty minutes in that time.
