Rampage Sign Taylor to Professional Tryout

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Kevin McDonald announced on Wednesday that the Rampage have signed forward Justin Taylor to a professional tryout agreement. Taylor is expected to join the team in Grand Rapids for Wednesday night's game against the Griffins at Van Andel Arena.

Taylor, 29, is in his ninth professional season, having played parts of all nine with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings. This season with the Wings, Taylor has tallied 14 goals and 17 points in 18 games, tied for second in the league in goals. He was riding a three-game goal-scoring streak in Kalamazoo, with four goals over that span.

The Mindemoya, Ontario native has appeared in 17 career AHL games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Utica Comets, totaling a goal and four penalty minutes. In 524 ECHL games with Kalamazoo, the Trenton Titans, and the Idaho Steelheads, Taylor has collected 196 goals and 373 points.

The Rampage complete their road trip on Wednesday night in Grand Rapids with a 6 p.m. CT puck-drop at Van Andel Arena against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The game is available on The Ticket 760AM and on AHLTV.
