San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (March. 16, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced Sunday that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forward Anthony Luciani from the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Luciani, 23, has spent the majority of the 2013-14 season with Cincinnati, and his 53 points tops all Cyclones skaters after being assigned to the club during training camp at the start of the year.

The Maple, Ontario native has 12 AHL games under his belt between Rochester and San Antonio, with three goals and two assists in that span. In 133 career ECHL games, he's recorded 55 goals and 63 assists.

The 5-foot-8, 190-pound winger was named runner-up for the ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 19. In that week, Luciani registered five goals and two assists in three games, with one of his goals coming as the game-winner.

Luciani began his career with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, posting 160 points (73g-87a) in 181 career games. He made his professional and AHL debut with Rochester during the 2010-11 season, scoring two goals and adding an assist in three games to cap the season.

The Rampage continue their five-game road trip Sunday evening against the Iowa Wild, which will be the last meeting between the teams of the 2013-14 season. Puck drop at the Wells Fargo Center is set for 5:05 p.m.
