San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage secured a spot to the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs Sunday evening, marking their first trip to the post-season since their inaugural 2002-03 season.
With four regular-season games remaining, the Rampage are currently in fifth place in the West Division and only four points behind second-place Rockford in the chase for home ice in the first round (top two teams in each division get home ice). If the playoffs were to begin today, the Rampage would play in the North Division in the fourth spot against the Toronto Marlies.
The 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs will begin next week with 16 teams looking to capture the American Hockey League championship.
