Wolves Add Two NHL First Round Draft Picks To Lineup

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned center BRYAN LITTLE and defenseman BORIS VALABIK (VA-lah-bik) to the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Thrashers have reassigned defenseman CHAD DENNY from the Wolves to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.

LITTLE, the 12th overall selection in the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft, has netted six goals and 16 points - second among team rookies - in 48 contests with the Thrashers this season, which includes seven points (3G, 4A) in 19 games since being recalled from the Wolves on Feb. 26.

The 20-year-old forward has appeared in 30 games with Chicago this season, notching nine goals, 14 assists, 23 points and 10 penalty minutes, which includes a professional career-high three helpers and four points on Jan. 12 against the Toronto Marlies.

VALABIK, the 10th overall selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, made his debut in a Thrashers uniform after being recalled from the Wolves on March 17, racking up 42 penalty minutes in seven tilts. The 22-year-old blueliner shares the Chicago lead with a +23 plus/minus rating, ranks second with a career-high 191 penalty minutes and has notched eight points (G, 7A) in 54 American Hockey League matchups this season.

The 6-foot-7-inch, 239-pound defenseman made his professional debut with the Wolves last season, racking up seven helpers, nine points and a team-high 184 penalty minutes in 50 regular-season games.

DENNY recorded six points (2G, 4A) and 19 penalty minutes with Chicago during his AHL debut after being reassigned on March 12. The 21-year-old rookie has tallied 13 points (7G, 6A) and 48 penalty minutes in 48 contests with Gwinnett this season.
