Falcons Release A Pair Of Players From Tryout Agreements

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have released defenseman Mike Gabinet from his Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO) and they have also released goaltender Bryan Pitton from his Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO).

Gabinet originally signed his PTO contract on February 6, 2008 and the Edmonton, Alberta native played in 19 games with the Falcons collecting three assists and 10 penalty minutes. Gabinet has also played in 23 games with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL this season totaling two goals and 12 assists for 14 points and 18 penalty minutes.

Pitton made his professional debut on Friday, April 4, 2008 in Wilkes-Barre in a relief effort for the Falcons. Pitton also played in 34 games for Brampton of the Ontario Hockey League this year before joining the Falcons back on March 31, 2008.

The Falcons conclude their 2007-08 regular season this coming weekend when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack on Friday and Portland Pirates on Saturday.
