San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO - Joel Perrault recorded his third point in as many games since being acquired on the NHL's Thursday trade deadline but the San Antonio Rampage fell to the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights 2-1 Wednesday night at the AT&T Center. San Antonio goaltender Karl Goehring stopped 27 shots in his 13th start this season.

Perrault helped the Rampage tally an early goal in the opening period as both teams remained scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Pavel Brendl registered his 16th goal of the season at the 3:15 mark with help from Perrault and Jakub Koreis. Perrault has collected three points (1-2=3) in three games since joining the Rampage on Mar. 9 when the Phoenix Coyotes acquired him from Anaheim in exchange for Sean O'Donnell.

Omaha retaliated with a pair of power-play goals at the 7:18 mark and the 17:33 mark to take the lead 2-1.

The Phoenix Coyotes' affiliate will host their Texas rival and West Division leading Houston Aeros Saturday at 7 p.m. for a special St. Patrick's Day Celebration at the AT&T Center.
