GARNER RETURNED TO JACKSON
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that they have reassigned goaltender Tyrone Garner to the Jackson Bandits of the East Coast Hockey League.
Garner, 24, was recalled on November 7 and made his NHL debut with the Rampage on November 10. In his only appearance he suffered 5-1 loss to the Houston Aeros.
The Stoney Creek, Ontario, native has played in eight games with Jackson posting a 3-5-0-0 record. Prior to being recalled he was named the East Coast Hockey League¡¦s Goalie of the Week on November 4, starting three games in three days going 3-0-0 with a 2.33 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.
The Rampage battle the Manitoba Moose tonight and tomorrow night at the Winnipeg Arena. Face-off for both contests is set for 7:30 p.m.

FLAHERTY RETURNED TO SAN ANTONIO
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have reassigned goaltender Wade Flaherty.
Flaherty, 34, was recalled by the Panthers on November 7, and dressed as the backup goaltender for three games while Roberto Loungo sat out with an injury. Prior to being recalled, Flaherty played in five games with the Rampage posting a 0-4-1 record.
The Terrace, British Columbia, native has appeared in 119 National Hockey League contests for the San Jose Sharks (1991-97), New York Islanders (1997-2001), Tampa Bay Lightning (2000-01) and Florida Panthers (2001-02)..
He will be available for the Rampage this weekend when they battle the Manitoba Moose on Friday and Saturday night at the Winnipeg Arena. Face-off for both contests is set for 7:30 p.m.

Last Week's Results: Wednesday, November 6 vs. Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 2-2 T
Chris O'Sullivan scored midway through the third period to give the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks a 2-2 tie with the San Antonio Rampage. O'Sullivan placed a pass from Josh DeWolf behind goaltender Wade Flaherty at the 9:44 mark of the final stanza to give his team its sixth point in five games (2-1-2). Rob Valicevic netted his fourth of the season and Ilja Bryzgalov made 27 saves for Cincinnati. Mathieu Biron and Juraj Kolnik gave the Rampage a two goal advantage with markers at the 10:38 of the first period and :36 of the second frame, respectively.
Thursday, November 7 vs. Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 4-3 W
Juraj Kolnik and Denis Shvidki scored goals less than a minute apart to lift the San Antonio Rampage over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, 4-3. Kolnik scored with 3:18 left in the first period and Shvidki added his first goal of the season 23 seconds later to give San Antonio a 3-0 lead. Serge Payer scored a short-handed unassisted goal midway through the second period, giving the Rampage a 4-1 advantage. Chris Mason saved 17 attempts to record his second win for San Antonio, which broke a six-game winless streak. Jason Krog collected three points on a goal and two assists and Travis Brigley contributed a pair of assists for Cincinnati. Ilja Bryzgalov allowed four goals on 28 shots and suffered the loss for the Mighty Ducks.
Sunday, November 10 @ Houston Aeros 1-5 L
Corey Larose notched a goal and two assists to help the Houston Aeros down the San Antonio Rampage, 5-1. Larose assisted on a goal by Curtis Murphy midway through the first period, helped Jean-Guy Trudel break a 1-1 tie on the power play 9:36 into the second, and tallied his second goal of the season on a feed from Trudel with over four minutes remaining in the contest. Trudel finished with three points and both Lawrence Nycholat and Jeremy Stevenson added a goal for Houston, which improved to a league-best 12-1-1. Derek Gustafson stopped 18 of 19 shot to earn his seventh victory in as many starts. Joey Tetarenko scored the lone goal for San Antonio.
Where They Stand: After 10 games the Rampage (2-7-1-0) are in fifth place in the West Division with a .250 winning percentage. Ahead of the Rampage sits Chicago (3-8-1-1), Utah (5-9-0-0), Milwaukee (6-0-4-1) and first place Houston (12-1-1-0).
Rampage vs. Admirals: San Antonio and Milwaukee met for the third time this season on Tuesday night at the SBC Center. The Admirals were victorious in their first two meetings defeating the Rampage 6-2 in San Antonio¡¦s AHL debut on Oct. 12, in addition to a 4-2 setback on Oct. 23. San Antonio and Milwaukee will meet seven more times this season. The Rampage will visit the Bradley Center three more times (11/20, 12/19 and 1/22), while the Admirals make their way back to the Alamo City four more times (11/26, 3/2, 3/28, 3/30).
Milwaukee Scouting Report: After finishing the 2001-02 season in last place in the West Division with a 30-35-10-5 record, Milwaukee is showing signs improvement under new Head Coach Peter Horachek. The Admirals are the only team in the AHL without a regulation loss and currently sit in second place in the Western Division with a 6-0-4-1 record. Milwaukee is paced by Darren Haydar who ranks fifth in the AHL with 17 points (8-9-17), while Greg Classen (4-5-9) and Vern Fiddler (2-7-9) rank second on the team with nine points. Peter Smrek is leading Milwaukee blue liners with eight points (1-7-8).
Milwaukee Connections: Rampage netminder Chris Mason spent the past four seasons in Milwaukee, earning 69 victories during his stint with the Admirals.
Family Feud: The Rampage¡¦s Andy Lundbohm suited up to battle his younger brother, Milwaukee¡¦s Bryan Lundbohm on Tuesday night. Andy had notched a pair of points (1-1-2) in six games with the Rampage, while Bryan had three points (1-2-3) in 11 contests with the Admirals.
Rampage vs. Moose: San Antonio and Manitoba will meet for the first time Friday night in Winnipeg before doing it all over again Saturday night. This weekend¡¦s trip to Canada will be the only time the Rampage cross the border this season. The Moose will make their way to the Alamo City twice. San Antonio will play host to Manitoba on Jan. 5 and Jan. 15.
Manitoba Scouting Report: The Moose sit atop the Canadian Division with a 8-7-1-0 record and are currently riding a three-game winning streak. Ryan Ready ranks tied for fourth among AHL leaders with 18 points and is tied for second with ten goals. Justin Kurtz paces all blue liners with 11 points. The Moose lead the AHL, averaging 35.94 shots on their opponents per game.
Rampage/Moose Connections: San Antonio¡¦s Jim Campbell spent part of the 1999-2000 season with the Manitoba Moose of the IHL. Campbell played in 10 games recording four points (1-3-4) and 10 PIM.
First Times a Charm: On Thursday, Nov. 7, the Rampage recorded their first home victory, a 4-3 decision over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. In the victory, center Andy Lundbohm and forward Denis Shvidki netted their first goals of the season.
First Impressions: Since being assigned from the Panthers, both defensemen Mathieu Biron and forward Denis Shvidki have made an impact in the Rampage lineup. Biron has notched a goal and an assist in his first five games with San Antonio, while Shvidki has picked up a goal and a pair of assists in his first four games with the club.
Sizzling Serge: Center Serge Payer has recorded five points (2-3-5) in his last five games played, including the shorthanded game-winner against Cincinnati on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Peak Performers: Jeff Toms has scored a point in six of his eight games with the Rampage. Serge Payer has had at least one point in four of his last five games. Andy Lundbohm has recorded a point in two of his last three games played. Juraj Kolnik has recorded goals in two of his last three games.
Team Leaders: Jeff Toms leads the Rampage with nine points (2-7-9) in eight games played. Filip Novak paces the defense with six points (3-3-6). Right wing Jim Campbell (2-5-7) and Serge Payer (3-4-7) are tied for second on the club with seven points. The Panthers Den: The Panthers blanked the Calgary Flames by a score of 3-0 on Saturday night at the Office Depot Center. Igor Ulanov took 17 shifts for the Panthers recording 13:57 of ice time and Peirre Dagenais finished with 7:38 of ice time working nine shifts. Florida completes their two game home set with a contest against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night.
Down on the Farm: The Laredo Bucks swept the El Paso Buzzards last weekend taking two on the road by a score of 5-4 Saturday night and 4-2 Sunday. The pair of wins improves the Bucks record to 5-4-2. Rampage prospect Eric Schneider recorded three assists in Sunday's contest and continues to pace Laredo with 17 points. The Jackson Bandits beat the Greenville Grrrowl 4-0 in ECHL action Saturday, Nov. 9. With the win, the Bandits improved to 6-7-0 on the season. Rampage prospects Gaetan Royer (3-6-9), Scott Kelman (4-4-8) and Sean O'Connor (2-3-5) rank among the top 10 in scoring for the Bandits.

The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have recalled goaltender Wade Flaherty and reassigned center Jeff Toms. As a result, the Rampage has recalled goaltender Tyrone Garner from the Jackson Bandits of the East Coast Hockey League.
The 28-year-old Toms earned his second call-up to the parent club this season on November 5. He was a healthy scratch in last night's game against the Penguins. Earlier this season he appeared in two games with the Panthers recording no points. Toms currently paces the Rampage with nine points (2-7-9) through six games.

Last Week's Results: Friday, November 1 @ Houston Aeros 3-5 L Hnat Domenichelli scored two goals and Rickard Wallin added a goal and an assist to lead the Houston Aeros to a 5-3 win over the San Antonio Rampage. Domenichelli broke a 3-3 tie with a power play goal at 11:01 of the third period, and added an insurance goal less than two minutes later for Houston, which won for the ninth time in 10 games. Aeros goalie Dieter Kochan stopped 21 of 24 shots, including 10 in the third period, to preserve the victory. Serge Payer had a goal and an assist and Ryan Jardine added a short-handed goal for San Antonio.
Sunday, November 3 vs. Houston Aeros 2-4 L Kyle Wanvig recorded a goal and two assists to help the Houston Aeros double up the San Antonio Rampage, 4-2. Wanvig helped Jean-Guy Trudel open the scoring 2:39 into the contest, netted his team-leading seventh goal with 5:38 remaining in the first period and set up Marc Cavosie for his first professional goal and a 3-0 lead with 5:50 left in the second. Cavosie and Jeff Hoggan both finished with a goal and an assist for Houston, which improved to a league-best 11-1-0. Derek Gustafson stopped 16 of 17 second-period shots and ended with 29 saves to raise his record to a perfect 6-0-0. Chris Mason gave up four goals on 24 shots in the loss. Jeff Toms and Serge Payer each potted a goal for San Antonio.
Home Sweet Home: After opening the season with a six game road trip that included pairs of contests in Milwaukee, Utah, and Houston the Rampage made their SBC Center debut on November 3 with a 4-2 loss against their intrastate rivals the Houston Aeros. San Antonio plays three of its next four at the SBC Center.

Cincinnati Scouting Report: Head Coach Brad Shaw was named the third coach in Mighty Duck history after former Ducks¡¦ bench boss Mike Babcock was hired by the parent club Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Cincinnati currently sits in second place in the Central Division with a 3-3-1-1 record. Jonathon Hedstrom leads the Ducks scoring attack with nine points (6-3-9), while Rob Valicevic ranks second with seven points (3-4-7). Defenseman Jason York paces the blue liners with five points (3-2-5).
Rampage/Mighty Duck Connections: Rampage center Mike Green spent part of the 2001-02 season with the Mighty Ducks collecting two goals and nine assists in 22 games. Rampage goalie Chris Mason started his professional career in Cincinnati. Mason spent the 1997-98 season with the Mighty Ducks posting a 13-19-7 record and a 3.45 GAA in 47 appearances. Mighty Ducks defenseman Todd Reirden spent part of the 1996-97 and 1997-98 seasons with the San Antonio Dragons of the IHL.
Rampage vs. Aeros: San Antonio and Houston meet on Sunday for the fourth time this year. The Rampage dropped the first three games of Silver I-10 Gallon Hat series losing 4-3 on October 26, 5-3 on November 1 and 4-2 on November 3 in their SBC Center debut. After this Sunday¡¦s clash, the Texas foes will not battle one another again until December 26. Houston left wing Hnat Domenichelli has five points (3-2-5) in three games versus the Rampage this year, while San Antonio right wing Jim Campbell has recorded four points (1-3-4) in two games against the Aeros.
Houston Scouting Report: The red-hot Houston Aeros (11-1-0-0) are off to their best start in franchise history and they are outscoring their opponents 47-29. Houston is led by both left-winger Jean-Guy Trudel who has notched 15 points (6-9-15) and center Cory Larose who has tallied 13 points (1-12-13) in the club¡¦s first 12 games. Defensemen Lawrence Nycholat and Curtis Murphy pace all Houston blue liners with eight points.
Earning Frequent Flyer Miles: On Saturday, November 2 the Florida Panthers returned center Jeff Toms. After being recalled on October 27, Toms appeared in two games with Florida and has now played in 230 career NHL games. The veteran center currently paces the Rampage with nine points (2-7-9).

Last season, he split time between the Panthers and the Utah Grizzlies. Beaudoin has played in 14 NHL games, all with the Panthers, recording four points (1-3-4). Shividki appeared in 10 games with the Panthers collecting a pair of points (1-1-2). He has played in 61 NHL games all with Florida picking up 21 points (8-13-21).
Reierson Records First Mark: Blue liner Andy Reierson picked up his first professional point on Sunday night after he recorded an assist on San Antonio's first goal of the game.
Rivers Added to Blue Line: On Saturday, November 2 San Antonio signed defenseman Jamie Rivers to a professional try-out. The veteran blue liner has played in 339 NHL games picking up 49 points (13-36-49). Rivers spent the majority of last season with Boston Bruins collections six points and 45 penalty minutes.
Heading to the Show: On Tuesday, October 29, Florida recalled right wing Pierre Dagenais and defenseman Igor Ulanov. Dagenais paced the Rampage with four goals and was riding a three game scoring streak at the time of his recall.
Peak Performer: Rookie defenseman Filip Novak ranks second among blue liners with a .200 shooting percentage (3-15).

Scott Kelman added an assist and has now recorded points in his first five games with the Bandits. The Laredo Bucks (3-4-1) defeated the Wichita Thunder Saturday night 7-6 in a wide-open affair. RAMPAGE MAKE ROSTER MOVES BEFORE SBC CENTER DEBUT
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that they have signed defenseman Jamie Rivers to a professional try-out and they have assigned defenseman Matt Smith to the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League. In other moves, the Florida Panthers have reassigned forward Denis Shvidki and center Jeff Toms to San Antonio.
Rivers, 27, spent the majority of last season with the Boston Bruins appearing in 64 games tallying six points (4-2-6). He started the season with the Ottawa Senators, before being claimed on waivers by Boston in October. The Ottawa, Ontario, native has played in 339 NHL contests recording 13 goals and 36 assists. He was selected by the St. Louis Blues with their third choice (63rd overall) in 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
Shvidki, 21, appeared in 10 games with the Panthers this season recording two points (1-1-2) and eight penalty minutes. He has played in a total of 61 career NHL games tallying 21 points (8-13). Shvidki, who was injured for most of last season, split time between the Panthers and Utah (AHL).
Toms, who was recalled by the Panthers on October 27, appeared in two games with Florida registering no points. The Swift Current, Saskatchewan, native currently paces the Rampage the eight points (1-7-8).
Smith played in a pair of games for the Rampage recording no points.

BIRON ASSIGNED BY PANTHERS
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have assigned defenseman Mathieu Biron.
Biron, 22, appeared in three of the Panthers¡¦ 10 games this season recording two penalty minutes. Last season, he split time between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Springfield Falcons (AHL). The Lac-St. Charles, Quebec, native appeared in 36 games for the Lightning picking up 12 penalty minutes. While with Springfield, he played in 35 games recording four goals and nine assists. Biron has played in a total of 103 NHL games for three different teams, tallying nine points (4-5-9).
Biron will make his Rampage debut on Friday, November 1 when San Antonio travels to Houston to take on the Aeros. The game can be heard live on KTKR The Ticket 760 AM with the Voice of the Rampage Andrew Monaco calling the action.
TOMS RECALLED BY PANTHERS - GOVE ADDED TO RAMPAGE ROSTER
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that center Jeff Toms has been recalled by the Florida Panthers. As a result, the Rampage have recalled center David Gove from the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League.
The 28-year-old Toms earns his second call-up to the parent club this season. He appeared in two games with the Panthers earlier this season after being recalled on October 27. Toms currently paces the Rampage with nine points (2-7-9) through six games.
The Swift Current, Saskatchewan, native has played in 230 career National Hockey League games with five different clubs tallying 20 goals and 31 assists. He has played parts of each of the past eight seasons in the NHL and he will be available on Monday night when the Panthers host the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Gove, 24, spent training camp with the Rampage before being assigned to Laredo on October 14. The Centerville, Massachusetts, native, ranks first in the CHL with 16 points (4-12-16) through eight games this year. He was selected as the CHL's Player of the Week after recording a pair of goals and 10 assists in three games last week.

RAMPAGE READY FOR SBC CENTER DEBUT
After opening their inaugural season in the American Hockey League on the road, the San Antonio Rampage made their SBC debut against their intrastate rivals the Houston Aeros on Sunday, November 3. Rampage fans got the chance to take in their first hockey game at the SBC Center as well as participate in a variety of opening night festivities.
All fans attending Sunday¡¦s game against the Aeros received a commemorative inaugural season San Antonio Rampage hockey puck and a Rampage Rally Pom-Pom courtesy of Frito Lay. Pucks were distributed at the end of the game. In addition, fans who signed up for the free SBC Center Rewards card were eligible to win a $100.00 gift certificate to the SBC Center Fan Shop, a big screen TV courtesy of Conn¡¦s and a trip for two (which included airfare, hotel, & tickets) to the 2003 NHL All-Star Game in Sunrise, Florida. Pat Morrison of Cibolo, Texas won the $100.00 gift certificate, Nikolas Grazier of San Antonio, Texas won the Conn¡¦s TV, and Leonard Albano of Helotes, Texas was the lucky winner of the Florida trip. Congratulations to the winners!
Several special guests were on hand for the Rampage's SBC Center debut as well. T-Bone, the Rampage's official mascot, was unveiled during the pre-game ceremonies.
Inside the SBC Center Fan Shop a wide variety of merchandise is available including Rampage t-shirts, golf shirts and replica team jerseys. The H-E-B FAN Fiesta section is also open for fans that want to test their hockey skills along with a variety of interactive games.
Fans can now purchase $5 balcony seats at the ticket office located at the Southeast corner of the SBC Center, select Ticketmaster Ticket Centers including Foley's and Wherehouse Music stores, sarampage.com, ticketmaster.com and by phone at 210-225-TEAM (8326). Preferred Seating - Purchasers of this package are guaranteed preferred seating in the SBC Center. You have a preference of either reserved seats in the front section on the floor or prime reserved seats in the side stands close to the stage. Access - Purchasers of this unique package will be granted access to the SBC Center through a separate VIP Southeast Entrance.
Reserved Parking - Forget about parking hassles; all VIP guests will have reserved parking in Lot 3 or a limousine drop-off area waiting for them at the Southeast VIP Entrance.
