Winston Cup Champion Tony Stewart to Appear at Ducks Game

CINCINNATI, Ohio - NASCAR Winston Cup points champion Tony Stewart will drop the first puck and sign autographs for select fans when the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks play the Chicago Wolves January 18, 2003 at 7:35 p.m. at the Cincinnati Gardens.

Stewart, who won the Winston Cup championship Sunday with an 18th-place finish in the Ford 400, will also spend the evening participating in events between periods. In addition, the first 3,200 fans will receive a Tony Stewart bobble-head.

Stewart, NASCAR's Rookie of the Year in 1999, last won a championship in 1997 in the Indy Racing League. The Columbus, Indiana native finished fourth in the points as a Winston Cup rookie, sixth the next year, and second to Jeff Gordon in 2001.

The appearance of Stewart, who drives the No. 20 orange-and-white Home Depot Pontiac, will mark the second consecutive year he has helped the Mighty Ducks celebrate NASCAR Night

Tickets for the Mighty Ducks annual NASCAR Night can be purchased at the Cincinnati Gardens Box Office.

Ticket prices for all Mighty Ducks regular-season games are $15, $12 and $10. Children age 12-and-under can purchase any available seat for $7 when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
