Another impressive performance from emerging, Tyler Robertson, helped propel the Snappers past the Wizards, 7-4, on Tuesday night. Robertson pitched six innings of four hit, two run baseball while striking out nine Wizards to claim his third consecutive victory and sixth of the season.

The Snappers exploded for four runs in the top of the second inning off of four hits. Chris Cates, Joe Benson (2), and Wilson Ramos all had RBI's in the four runs outburst. The Snappers batted around in the inning and left with an early 4-0 lead.

After one run in bottom of the third and fourth inning's the Wizards found themselves right back in the game. That would change quickly, however, as the Snappers added two of their own in the top of the sixth. RBI's from Wilson Ramos on a single and Matt Betsill on a groundout pushed the Snappers back to a four run advantage, 6-2.

Beloit added another run in the top of the eighth inning on another RBI single from offensive star, Wilson Ramos. Ramos' RBI scored Joe Benson, who earlier singled, from second base. Wilson's third RBI of the night gave him 35 on the season and made the score, 7-2. Ramos' batting average improved to a team leading, .291.

Fort Wayne scored two more in the bottom of the eighth to pull to within three runs, 7-4, but was unable to get anything going off new Snappers' closer, Anthony Slama. Slama struck out two in the bottom of the ninth inning to close the door on the Wizards and give Beloit the 7-4 win. Beloit's second half record is now 22-14.
