Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - The Prince Albert Raiders took down the Regina Pats 6-1 on Saturday night.
The Raiders power play went 3-for-8, with them scoring six goals on 28 shots.
Keaton Sorensen, Reece Vitelli, Nolan Allan, Landon Kosior, Evan Herman and Eric Johnston each scored for Prince Albert.
"Our guys were getting frustrated with definitely a playoff game out there tonight," Pats assistant coach Brad Herauf said after the game. "We're not the biggest team in the world and there were some liberties being taken out there. The game wasn't going our way and we did not react very maturely."
Connor Bedard scored his 45th goal of the season in the first period on a shorthanded breakaway, tying the Pats franchise record for goals in a season by a 16-year-old, previously held by Jeff Friesen (45).
As far as the current playoff picture goes, Regina remains in 11th, six points back of the 8th-place Swift Current Broncos. The Pats have three games in hand on them. The Pats are four points back of the Prince Albert Raiders, who sit in 9th. They are three points back of the 10th-place Calgary Hitmen, who they have one game in hand on.
