Daniel Hauser made 17 saves for his eighth shut out of the season as the Winnipeg ICE blanked the Regina Pats 7-0 Friday night at the Brandt Centre.

Zach Benson led the offense with a four point night (one goal and three assists).

Matthew Savoie scored twice and picked up an assist. Savoie now leads the ICE with 84 points.

Alessandro Segafredo, Jonas Woo with his first WHL goal, Connor McClennon's 40th and Conor Geekie also found the back of the net as Winnipeg's record improves to 49-9-3-2.

The win extends the ICE advantage to eight points over Edmonton for first place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Savoie and Carson Lambos each led Winnipeg with 4 shots each as the visitors out shot Regina 31-17.

The ICE return to action tomorrow (Saturday) night in Moose Jaw (7:30 on CFRW 1290).
